Travel Planning

PhDEI aims to cover costs associated with travel to/accommodations in NYC for all participants; however, the *method* of payment or reimbursement will vary. To help us provide the best and most timely logistical and financial assistance, please answer the following.

* NOTE: Generally, transportation from outside of NYC will be reimbursed after the event, and in accordance with Stanford University policy (e.g., economy tickets only). More details will be provided directly to you once we receive your RSVP.

Transportation: Assistance

My attendance depends on prepayment assistance for transportation

For Stanford students, or for students on the East Coast who can travel by train, we may have ability to book transportation on your behalf to avoid out-of-pocket expense prior to the event. This level of assistance is limited. Please check the box above only if your participation depends upon this assistance (i.e., waiting for reimbursement is prohibitive).

Accommodations

We have negotiated a block of discounted rooms ($209/night) at the conveniently located Millennium Downtown Hotel, in the heart of the Financial District, for Thursday and Friday nights (June 27 & 28). A number of these rooms, for those dates only, will be paid on behalf of student attendees (no out-of-pocket / reimbursement needed). Please let us know your accommodation preference below.

Dietary Preferences

We strive to be mindful of dietary preferences and requirements. PhDEI will select a restaurant for our Thursday social. The Federal Reserve Bank of NY will provide breakfast and lunch on Friday. (Please note: the FRBNY will accommodate dietary and/or allergy restrictions in food selection, but its kitchen overall is not a nut-free or GF facility.)
